Arsenal fans make bold Paul Pogba claim after Aaron Ramsey strike vs Newcastle

Arsenal fans have risked upsetting Manchester United supporters after declaring their love for midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Welsh international will depart for Juventus at the end of the season but is enjoying his last few weeks with the Gunners.

He was handed the captain's armband for Monday's clash with Newcastle and celebrated with the opening goal after having another effort chalked off earlier in the half.

Ramsey put in an impressive all-around display in a huge game in their battle for the Premier League top four but was forced off via injury just after the hour mark.

His performance still led to Gunners supporters making a bold claim by proclaiming their popular midfielder is better than United superstar Paul Pogba.

"Aaron Ramsey is the player Manchester United fans want Pogba to be. Whether you like it or not. End." One fan said.

Another declared that he is "unplayable when healthy" and a "world class midfielder" who is "better than Pogba" as he gets set for his big Serie A summer move.

An Arsenal fan also pointed out "Pogba getting pocketed" whilst "Ramsey's balling in key moments" as he gave Arsenal the lead in a huge game for their top four hopes.

Much has been made of Ramsey's reported wage of around £400,000 per week pre-tax, making him one of the highest paid footballers in world football.

Yet Arsenal fans clearly reckon he will be a huge hit in Italy as he follows in the footsteps of Pogba by playing for Juventus.

The Gunners are still disappointed the long-serving midfielder is leaving the club after over a decade at the Emirates but they're enjoying seeing him in action and at his dazzling best for the time being as they hope for positive news after his injury concern.
