Thomas Partey certainly had a full Arsenal debut to remember.
The Premier League game at Manchester City after the international was considered too early for the £45m transfer deadline day signing from Atletico Madrid to make his first start for the Gunners.
As a result, he came on in the second half at the Etihad Stadium to get a taste of Premier League action.
But on Thursday night in the Europa League, Partey started against Rapid Vienna and took centre stage with a performance that impressed many - including his manager Mikel Arteta.
"He looked really solid, really comfortable," Arteta said in his post-match press conference. "He held midfield by himself in the second half when we were a little bit more open and starting to take more chances attacking certain places with some players.
"He was fantastic tonight and there's much more to come from him."
Not only was Arteta delighted with Partey's full Arsenal debut, but the national media were too as one reporter described the 27-year-old as being 'fantastic in midfield'.
Furthermore, the Ghana international's performance garnered a big reaction from Gunners supporters on Reddit.

"Ladies and gents hop on this train cause we are finally going places."

SleetyWhistle said: "I knew he was already, but reassuring to see he is actually ELITE in an Arsenal shirt."

"And the fact that he can hold the ball and dribble forwards. I'm describing simple stuff but it's been so long since I've seen a competent passer of the ball in our team.
"Santi was probably the last one, maybe Rosicky."
