Arsenal fans love what Nicolas Pepe did to team-mates on first day of training

Arsenal fans were already excited about the signing of Nicolas Pepe even before seeing him in action.

But they were sent into overdrive after seeing him show his skill within minutes of stepping onto the field with his team-mates for the first time.

A clip shared by Arsenal's official twitter account showed the former Lille winger, signed in a club-record £72m deal this week, stun new team-mates Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli in the warm-up.

He nutmegged both players in separate incidents caught on camera during their "rondo" drill as he showed his touch before getting onto the pitch for a full session with Unai Emery.

With Xhaka tipped as a potential successor to Laurent Koscielny as Arsenal captain, Pepe was hailed for "savagely nutmegging the captain-to-be" as fans claimed he has "no chill" and joked he should "show some respect".

Others said he was "already showing his quality" and predicted they will see him "nutmeg Van Dijk at Anfield" this season.

Fans are now expecting to see more of the same in the Premier League, declaring: "Man does this in his sleep. It's all over his highlight reels. Beautiful stuff."

One stated they: "Can't wait for the season to start and our front three doing madness" with big things expected of Pepe alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Pepe could make his Arsenal debut as they take on Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy at the Nou Camp on Sunday.

It will be their final pre-season game before their Premier League campaign gets underway against Newcastle a week on Sunday (August 11).
