Arsenal fans love what Aaron Ramsdale did to Albert Sambi Lokonga vs Aston Villa

Mikel Arteta will have gone to bed a very happy man on Friday night after his Arsenal side comfortably dispatched Aston Villa 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Thomas Partey got their names on the scoresheet as the Gunners made is six games unbeaten in the Premier League.

It was the perfect response to what was a thoroughly underwhelming display on Monday night against Crystal Palace and Arteta will be desperate to see his team kick on now.

While there was plenty to admire in attack, those at the back also impressed again and Aaron Ramsdale in particular continued to endear himself to his new fans.

There was plenty of uproar when the decision was made to spend £30million on a player who had just been relegated with Sheffield United but with each game it looks like an even better decision.

He demonstrated his outstanding passing range on more than one occasion against Dean Smith's side and was not shy in telling his defenders how he felt about their performances.

One such incident occurred in the second half when Albert Sambi Lokonga got caught on the ball just outside the Arsenal penalty area, allowing a shot to be fired the way of Ramsdale.

After gathering the ball, the shot-stopper took a look up at his teammate before raising his eyebrows as if to say: 'We shouldn't be doing that, should we?'

It was a moment that the fans loved.

CarterXIX said: "One of those things he’ll learn quickly, can get away with it in Belgium, not so much here."

Archasaurus said: "Big dad energy."

MaxTrash said: "Don't think I've ever been made to eat my words so quickly about a signing. Really didn't see why we were buying him and he's one of my favourites in the squad already. Such a character."
