Arsenal fans in agreement as Chris Wilder breaks silence on Folarin Balogun transfer

Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun has embarked on another key chapter of his development, signing on loan with Championship side Middlesbrough until the end of the season.

The England Under-21 international has only featured twice so far this season domestically, with the club allowing him to leave on loan during the current transfer window after signing a new contract in north London last year.

Having found the net 13 times in 11 Premier League 2 appearances so far this campaign, the New-York born centre forward is someone Wilder admits has long been on his radar.

"We’re delighted to get Flo in. He’s a player I’ve known about for a long time and we identified him as someone who could come in and improve us in the second half of the season,'' he began.

"He has great movement, good pace, and he’s a natural finisher. We’re looking forward to working with him."

Having also impressed in the EFL Trophy, the 20-year-old forward has received plenty of well wishes from Arsenal supporters, many questioning whether the move does now open the door for another striker to potentially join the club later this month.

With that being said, here's what some Arsenal fans are saying in reaction to the breaking news.

@afcsammmm began by questioning the decision, saying: ''This should have been done 6 months ago, but a good move nonetheless.''

@PainInThArsenal said: ''Going to smash the Championship. Best of luck, Flo!''

@WelBeast questioned the clubs transfer intentions, writing: ''Looks like a new striker is coming in soon.''

@WaynesWorld20_ wrote: ''Good move for him. Looking forward to seeing him develop. Best of luck.''

And finally , @SemperFiArsenal praised the loan deal, adding: ''Brilliant move. He should do very well under Wilder.''
