Arsenal fans have Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar transfer theory amid Dani Ceballos loan links

Dani Ceballos could be on the verge of returning to the Emirates Stadium.

The midfielder spent the 2019/20 season on loan at the club, and a similar deal is close to being reached between Arsenal and Real Madrid for the upcoming season, according to reports.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that the two clubs are in advanced talks over a season-long loan, with Mikel Arteta personally calling the player to convince him to return to Arsenal.

An agreement is expected soon, with Ceballos himself hinting that a move could be around the corner .

Mikel Arteta confident Aubameyang will sign again with Arsenal

Arsenal have been linked with a number of midfield options this summer including Atletico Madrid man Thomas Partey and Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.

The news of Ceballos possibly returning on loan instead of a permanent deal has caused some fans to deduce that funds could now be available for the two midfielders.

And it left some dreaming of the midfield options that could be available to Arteta at the end of the transfer window.

Arteta himself gave an update on a possible move for the midfielder ahead of the Community Shield.

"Well, we have some talks and Dani knows really well what I think about him," he said .

He was pretty clear with me as well that his intention was to remain with us but obviously Real Madrid is involved and I don’t know yet what they want to do with the player.

"But he’s a player that we are interested in because we really saw, in the last few months of the season, what he is capable of bringing to us."
