Arsenal fans have decided Arsene Wenger's next job after Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's statement

Some Arsenal fans think the perfect job for Arsene Wenger has just opened up.

On Tuesday morning, Joachim Low announced his decision to step down from his role as Germany manager after this summer's European Championships.

Low has been in charge of his country's national team since replacing Jurgen Klinsmann in 2006 and approached the German Football Association (DFB) to end his contract a year before it was due to expire.

"I take this step very consciously, full of pride and enormous gratitude," said Low in a statement. "I am proud because it is an honour for me to be involved and because I have been able to work with the best footballers in the country and support them in their development.

"I have great triumphs with them and painful defeats, but above all many wonderful and magical moments - not just winning the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

"I am and will remain grateful to the DFB, which has always provided me and the team with an ideal working environment."

Immediately after Low's decision was made public, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was named as a potential replacement, with bookmakers Betfair installing him at 3/1.

However, the German has ruled himself out of the running.

"Am I available for the job after the summer? No," he said ahead of his side's Champions League tie against RB Leipzig. "Someone else will do the job and with the number of good German managers I am sure the German FA will find a good solution."

Is that solution a certain Mr. Arsene Wenger?

Appointed as Fifa’s chief of global football development last year in his first job after leaving Arsenal, the Frenchman has previously refused to rule out a return to management.

"Every day I want to train, I’ve been doing this all my life," Wenger previously told Europe 1. "It will be in conditions that I consider optimal. Otherwise, I will not do it."

Judging by a few responses on Twitter, some Arsenal fans think taking over from Low as the Germany national team manager should be Wenger's next move later this summer.

@nkxnnia said: "Joachim Low Stepping down after Euros. Wenger should remind them he's of German Descent. Would love to see him at a job like that."

@nickmanfredi14 said: "Would love to see Wenger get the Germany job."

@MusketeerRobbie said: "I think it’ll be Ralf Ragnick or Arsene Wenger."

Even a Tottenham fan @_OwenTHFC is behind the idea of Wenger managing Germany: "Wenger to Germany would be an eye opener."
