Arsenal fans have a Freddie Ljungberg theory following 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest

Arsenal's 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest is the biggest margin of victory in the Unai Emery era.

Yet some supporters aren't convinced the Spaniard was solely responsible for the performance at the Emirates Stadium.

Gabriel Martinelli marked his full debut with a brace, Hector Bellerin as well as Rob Holding made their returns from injury and there was a first start in Arsenal colours for Kieran Tierney following his £25m summer transfer.

Five goals and a clean sheet, it was certainly the perfect night and Emery agreed.

"Yes. Really for different issues, first the competition is important for us and one title," he said during the post-match press conference.

"It's an opportunity for different players to take confidence and minutes, helping us like tonight. I think the game was for us in 90 minutes very consistent.

"Some different players gave us their performance and also after injuries Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin came back. This was a good match, a good result, a good game, a clean sheet.

"There are a lot of positive things.

"We can be positive with different options for the next matches."

But does someone else deserve the plaudits?

Well, some Arsenal fans have an interesting theory that Freddie Ljungberg - one of Emery's assistant first-team coaches - was in charge of the tactics, hence a fluid attacking performance.
