Arsenal fans are urging their club to extend Emile Smith Rowe's contract at the Emirates Stadium after Kieran Tierney put pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal.
Tierney announced on the Gunners' YouTube channel that he's signed a five-year extension to stay in north London after two impressive seasons following his £25million transfer from Celtic.
The 24-year-old explained his decision to commit his future to Arsenal and revealed that the vision of the club is something he has full faith in.
“The vision of the club, where it wants to go, the expectation of the club, it’s where I want to be in football, at the top," Tierney said on his new deal.
"There’s no doubt about it, we’re not where we want to be right now, but we’re going in the right direction. The way the club is run on the inside, it’s amazing, I love all the staff, I love all the players, I love the manager, working with him is an absolute joy.
"Being happy in life, it speaks for a lot, and I’m happy just now, so I’m more than happy to think about my future.”
After seeing one of their star players extend his stay in north London, Arsenal fans are now desperate for Smith Rowe to follow suit.
football.london reported recently that Aston Villa bid £25m for the Hale End academy graduate, but the Gunners turned down the offer.

Smith Rowe has two years remaining on his existing deal at the Emirates, and the club see an extension as one of their priorities this summer, with negotiations already underway.
Head of football operations Richard Garlick is leading contract talks for the first-team players, and he will also be responsible for negotiations with potential new signings.
Smith Rowe is viewed as part of Arsenal's 'British core', alongside the Scottish Tierney and the English Bukayo Saka, with all three playing a huge part in the Gunners' 2020/21 campaign.
