Arsenal fans have £10million transfer demand as Gunners submit bid for Emiliano Buendia

Arsenal supporters are telling their club to act quickly when it comes to signing Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City.

The Gunners made their first official offer for Buendia on Thursday, football.london understands, but Aston Villa have matched the £30million bid.

The Argentine midfielder shone for the Canaries as they clinched the Championship title to set up an immediate return to the Premier League next season, netting 15 goals and grabbing 17 assists in 39 appearances.

football.london had previously reported the north London club's interest in the Norwich star last December. However, Arsenal were priced out of a move and instead brought in Martin Odegaard on a short-term loan deal from Real Madrid.

Now, Odegaard has returned to Los Blancos and it looks as if the Gunners would have a very difficult task in bringing him back to the club next season.

So, Arsenal have acted quickly and submitted a formal offer to Norwich for their prized asset, but the Canaries are said to have an asking price of £40m.

This is something Gunners fans have picked up on, as they tell the club to pay the extra £10m to fend off competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa.

After a disappointing 2020/21 campaign, Arsenal are set for a massive squad overhaul over the coming months.

football.london reported recently that the north London outfit are expected to attempt bringing in five new players each in different positions as Mikel Arteta looks to progress with his team.

A number of players have been linked with a move to the Emirates, as well as out of the club. David Luiz, Dani Ceballos, Odegaard and Mat Ryan have all been released from their contracts - Arsenal confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
