Arsenal fans given major boost concerning Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future at the club

Arsenal fans will be keeping everything crossed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will still remain in North London this summer.

The striker was at his absolute best at Wembley on Saturday as the Gunners overcame the odds to beat Manchester City, and book their place in the FA Cup Final.

Aubameyang scored both goals in the 2-0 win as Mikel Arteta got the better of his former mentor Pep Guardiola, and kept the Spaniard on course for his first piece of silverware as a manager.

There were plenty of outstanding performances among the Gunners, not least the Gabon international, who demonstrated exactly why he is arguably Arsenal’s most important player.

Not only did he guide his side to the cup final on August 1, but he remains in the hunt for a second successive Premier League golden boot this season, having once again hit 20 goals.

With that though comes some fear about his future, with the 31-year-old’s contract at the Emirates Stadium set to expire next year, leading to suggestions that he could be set to move on this summer.

There is some good news for Arsenal fans on that front though, with bookmakers now leaning towards Aubameyang staying in North London beyond this summer.

Despite his contract talks at the Emirates still being on hold, the forward is now odds on to stay at the club with Ladbrokes, with the bookies making it just a 1/3 shot that he's still at the club on the first day of next season.

That will no doubt come as big boost for the Gunners’ faithful, who will be desperate not to see another one of their top stars leave the club this summer.

Elswhere, Dani Ceballos has been made an 11/10 shot to make his loan move from Real Madrid a permanent one.

The Spanish midfielder has impressed for the Gunners since the restart, and the club are hopeful they’ll be able to secure his services again next season in one way or another.
