Arsenal fans fear worst for Bukayo Saka as star comes off injured after James McArthur tackle

Arsenal fans fear the worst for Bukayo Saka after the young Gunners star was substituted at half-time against Crystal Palace.

Just minutes before the interval Saka was hauled down by Crystal Palace's James McArthur, who received a booking for the offence.

McArthur appeared to swipe the legs of Saka from behind on the edge of the Arsenal penalty area.

VAR did look at the McArthur challenge on Saka but stuck with the on-field decision.

Gunners fans were left fuming at the challenge and have now been left very worried about their player, who was replaced by Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Following the break, Saka appeared on the Arsenal bench with an ice pack strapped to the calf where he was hit by McArthur leaving fans concerned he could be ruled out through injury for some time.

Here's what fans are saying about Saka's injury on Twitter.

@GiantGooner: "Okay I was gonna ignore the McArthur kick but now that Saka is off injured I’m legit mad about it."
