Arsenal fans delight as Gunners finish above Tottenham and Liverpool in global ranking

Arsenal have been named among the world’s top ten football club’s over the last decade and fourth highest in England.

In the list compiled by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), the Gunners placed 10th overall and behind Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

The IFFHS ranks teams based on points awarded based on results year on year and put together a final list of the top clubs in Europe over the period from 2011 and 2020.

Spanish giants Barcelona led the way with 2877 points ahead of La Liga rivals Real Madrid and Champions League holders Bayern Munich.

Arsenal, with 2016 points, beat rivals Tottenham as well as Premier League champions Liverpool to make the top 10.

The Gunners qualified for the Champions League in seven of the ten years as well as winning three FA Cups and reaching a Europa League final.
