Arsenal fans are convinced that Mesut Ozil was sending a direct message to Unai Emery when he posted a cryptic tweet on Wednesday.
The German took to both Twitter and Instagram to upload a picture of himself laughing. Alongside it Ozil wrote: "You make me laugh".
It's not clear who the message was directed at - if at anyone at all - but some Gunners supporters are now convinced it was indeed aimed at his boss, Emery.
Ozil isn't a first team starter under the Spaniard, but was looking for a run-out in the Europa League this Thursday, in Arsenal's match with Vitoria.
Unfortunately for Ozil he isn't even in the matchday squad.
It's not known whether the German knew this information prior to his tweet as there is no set rules on managers revealing their teams to their players.
But many Arsenal supporters reckon Ozil did know in advance, and that his tweet is proof of his prior knowledge.
"Yo Unai Emery, he's talking to you," tweeted one Arsenal fan, while another added: "Emery's coaching ability makes me laugh exactly like this."
A third wrote: "Ozil to Emery," and a fourth simply concluded: "Dig at Emery."
