Arsenal fans convinced club have dropped Bukayo Saka contract hint in social media post

Some Arsenal supporters are adamant that promising teenage sensation Bukayo Saka is set to put pen to paper on a contract extension at the Emirates Stadium.

In what has been a relatively low-key campaign for the Gunners this time around, Saka, who can play at either left-back or left-midfield, has been in a shining light, delivering a string of both impressive and encouraging performances.

His eye-catching displays have, of course, put an array of clubs on red alert, with the 18-year-old out-of-contract at the Emirates Stadium at the end of next season, meaning he could be signed by one of Arsenal's Premier League rivals for a minimal fee following a tribunal hearing, as he is under the age of 24.

And it isn't just Liverpool and Manchester United that have been linked with a move for the England Under-19 international, as German giants Borussia Dortmund have also been closely linked with a move for the teenage starlet.

In the midst of all the speculation, Arsenal stars, including Alexandre Lacazette and Bernd Leno, have pleaded with the youngster to commit his long-term future to the Gunners.

However, some Gunners supporters now believe that Saka could be inching closer to putting pen to paper on a new deal following a post on the club's Instagram page on Tuesday.

Football.london understands that Arsenal are, of course, desperate to keep hold of him but negotiations over a new deal have stalled in recent weeks.

But some Gunners fans are confident that the news of the teenager having penned a new long-term deal could be just around the corner.

In an Instagram post, Arsenal posted a photograph of Saka with the caption: "Just getting started."

That, immediately, sent Gunners fans into a frenzy, believing that it could be a cryptic message that is suggesting the youngster is close to extending his stay at the Emirates Stadium.
