After being left frustrated for much of the opening 45 minutes of their Europa League clash against Dundalk at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening, Arsenal went into the interval 2-0 up.
Quick-fire goals from Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock just before the break ensured Mikel Arteta's side would go into the break in a commanding position, potentially sparing themselves a stern half time talking to from the Spaniard.
But prior to Nketiah's opener, which came as a result of Dundalk goalkeeper Gary Rogers failing to deal with a corner, Arsenal had experienced no shortage of frustrations and hindrances.
One of the biggest talking points, though, was winger Nicolas Pepe's corner from the right flank.
With Arsenal certainly outweighing Dundalk in terms of quality, it would have been the perfect opportunity for the Ivory Coast international, who joined the Gunners from French outfit Lille for £72million in the summer of 2019, to get a perfect cross into the box and allow his teammates to attack it, in the hope of breaking Dundalk's resistance and getting a grip on the contest.
However, Pepe's corner, which was an in-swinging delivery on his left boot, failed to pick out a single body in a red shirt, as he fired the ball straight into the side netting instead.
His delivery caused an immediate stir and backlash on social media, with no shortage of Gunners supporters less than impressed with the Ivorian's delivery.
Here, we have taken a close look at how some Arsenal fans reacted to Pepe's first half corner at the Emirates Stadium...

@akaniru_prosper said: This is embarrassing. Lille wounded us on this one."
@uchendu_ok said: "Buh is true nah, he cant take a corner."
Pepe made up for his first error by smashing Arsenal into a 3-0 lead just after the half time break, smashing home a rocket of a shot on his weaker right foot from the edge of the box.
