Dani Ceballos had quite the eventful Premier League debut for Arsenal against Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
Introduced as a second half substitute at St James' Park, the Spaniard was already in the thick of the action before entering the fray.
When celebrating Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal which turned out to be the winner as the Gunners began the new season with a win, Ceballos was accidentally caught in the face by Ainsley Maitland-Niles' elbow.
But there's another Ceballlos moment from the match which some Arsenal supporters noticed and were extremely impressed with.
This particular incident came in the closing stages.
As the ball trickled out of play for a goal kick to the Magpies, Ceballos intercepted an attempted pass back to Martin Dúbravka for him to restart the game.
In terms of slowing the game down and wasting time, it was certainly a savvy moment from the on-loan Real Madrid midfielder as moments later the final whistle blew.
Ceballos followed that up by issuing an apology to the referee all the while pointing at an invisible watch on his hands, all of which suggests he knew what he was doing the whole time.
And Gunners fans loved it.
