Arsenal fan's premonition sums up exactly how it feels to lose to Liverpool

One Arsenal fan has perfectly summed up how it feels to be on the losing side as Liverpool staged a stunning comeback to beat the Gunners in the Carabao Cup.

The Reds advanced into the quarter-finals after beating Unai Emery’s side on penalties at Anfield.

Despite getting off to a perfect start when Shkodran Mustafi put the ball into his own net,  three quickfire goals from Lucas Torreira and a brace from Gabriel Martinelli put the visitors in total control.

James Milner reduced the arrears from the penalty spot before the interval but Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ strike nine minutes into the second half restored the Gunners’ two-goal cushion.

But Liverpool soon levelled through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Divock Origi, before Joe Willock emphatically fired the visitors back ahead.

And that was the way it stayed until the fourth minute of stoppage time when Origi netted his second of the night to send Anfield wild.

Before Caoimhin Kelleher was the Reds’ hero in the shootout, saving Dani Ceballos’ spot-kick.

Jurgen Klopp opted to make five changes to his side for the fixture, with Gunners fans before the game relishing the prospect of facing the Reds’ youngsters.

And one fan opted to go one step further, stating that a defeat at Anfield would be their most “embarrassing” of the season.

He wrote: “When you look at the Liverpool team and their subs bench, then look at our team and the subs bench, we should win this, because if we lose that will be our most embarrassing defeat this season.”

And after Liverpool’s stunning comeback, he will not be best pleased that the final part of his premonition has unfortunately come true.
