Arsenal fan pinpoints the exact moment where Wilfried Zaha may have scuppered his dream transfer

Wilfried Zaha's chances of joining Arsenal from Crystal Palace this summer are pretty much slim to none.

The Gunners have a reported transfer budget of £45m before player sales as a result of failing to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Had they held their nerve in the Premier League top four race or eve won the Europa League last season then they would have had a better chance of luring the Ivory Coast international to the Emirates Stadium.

In addition, the Eagles are reluctant to lose both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Zaha in the same transfer window.

Then there's the clause which all-but ends any hope of the winger making the move across the capital as Manchester United inserted a a 25% sell-on clause into his contract upon rejoining the Eagles permanently in 2015.

The latest report is that Zaha is hoping Palace chairman Steve Parish will lower the club’s demands - though to be in the region of £80m - to make his dream move to Arsenal a reality this summer.

However, one Gunners supporter on Twitter has pointed out the exact moment where Zaha's dream move was scuppered.

Ironically, it was his own doing.

Crystal Palace recorded 3-2 win at the Emirates Stadium in April and Zaha was brilliant. In fact it was his goal in the second half which many agree swung the game in the visitors' favour.

That defeat ultimately cost Unai Emery's side in the run-in as they finished a point behind bitter rivals Tottenham Hotpsur and two behind Chelsea in the race for a top four finish.

Had Arsenal won on that afternoon, maybe they'd be in the Champions League and there'd be more of a chance Zaha gets his move.
