Arsenal fan notices one moment vs Leicester that could save Unai Emery

Arsenal fans have not enjoyed the opening of the 2019/20 season quite as much as they would have hoped at the start of the campaign.

Unai Emery's men have won four, drew five and lost three of their opening 12 Premier League matches. The third defeat of the season came at the hands of Leicester City on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers' men perhaps surprisingly went into the match as slight favourites after a strong start to the season under the Northern Irishman, and they didn't fail to live up to expectations. Goals from Jamie Vardy and James Maddison meant that Arsenal are now nine points adrift of Leicester, who are currently in second place in the table.

Most of the game was controlled by Leicester as they looked to put Unai Emery under increasing pressure. The Spaniard is the favourite with the bookmakers to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job.

However, there was one period of play during the match vs Leicester that could give Arsenal fans hope that there is still a future for the team under the former Paris Saint-Germain manager.

As pointed out by Reddit user Huhwtfbleh, with the scores still locked at 0-0 in the first half, the defence pounced on a misplaced pass in Leicester's attack. Arsenal quickly passed through the thirds of the pitch, with Matteo Guendouzi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sean Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette all involved.

The ball makes its way into the Leicester penalty area but is ultimately cleared by defender Caglar Soyuncu.

Although the move only amounted to an Arsenal throw, it was one of the few bits of positive play that was evident from the Gunners at the King Power Stadium, and showed the sort of moves that the team are capable of under Unai Emery.

Whether it's too little too late for the Spanish manager is still to be seen.
