Arsenal eye Douglas Costa transfer amid Alexandre Lacazette to Juventus speculation

Arsenal are reportedly ready to let Alexandre Lacazette go this summer and would consider a swap deal including Juventus winger Douglas Costa.

The France striker has forced his way back into the plans of Gunners boss Mikel Arteta over the last month after a disappointing run of form for the club.

However, that hasn’t stopped speculation growing claiming that his future could be away from the Emirates Stadium.

According to Tuttomercato, the Gunners would be interested in a swap deal this summer, with former Bayern Munich winger Costa considered as a makeweight.

Mikel Arteta loves Arsenal's team spirit

Speaking in a recent interview, Lacazette revealed he is determined to stay at the Emirates - even though he admits it has been a poor season for him.

He said: "We know that Auba has a lot of discussion with the club but I can't put my future in someone else.

"Everybody does their own thing. I used to talk with him a lot at the beginning when we came back from lockdown.

"But since we really don't really talk. I just know he will say something to me before you in the press will know but that is it."

Lacazette has scored 10 goals in 30 Premier League games last season and is under contract until June 2022.

While Costa would be an attractive option for Arteta, with the winger said to be one of several big-name stars who could leave Juve this summer following the appointment of Andrea Pirlo.
