Arsenal extend commercial partnership as they look to regain lost ground after £10m drop in 2018

Arsenal will continue their partnership with Santa Rita until 2022 at the earliest, after announcing a three-year extension to the club's partnership with the Chilean winery.

The South American company became the Gunners' official wine partner in 2016, which sees "premium wines exclusively poured on matchdays and at our stadium events."

Arsenal said that, in addition to "increased access to our pool of Arsenal Legends, presence on our matchday LED boards and social media content," the new partnership would see Santa Rita participate in the club's global pre-season tours.

"During our current tour in the US, Santa Rita will host an event in Washington DC for key distributors and VIP guests with Unai Emery, our Head Coach, as well as hosting an event with Arsenal Legend, Ray Parlour," the Gunners noted.

Peter Silverstone, Arsenal's commercial director, said the club over the last three years had worked with Santa Rita to build its presence in the UK & Ireland, China and Brazil, as well as other markets.

"Santa Rita’s wine has been incredibly popular with our supporters at Emirates Stadium, so they’ll be delighted that its premium wines will continue to be exclusively poured."

When the deal was first announced in 2016, the two parties said they would engage with fans in both the UK and international markets including Africa, Asia and North and South America.

Arsenal's commercial revenues fell by more than £10million in 2017/18 to £107million - although the club has made inroads to regain lost ground, including a reported £300million agreement with adidas  as official kit sponsor beginning in the upcoming season.

Alongside adidas, main shirt sponsor Emirates and shirt sleeve sponsor Visit Rwanda, Arsenal have eight 'official sponsors' - including Santa Rita - and nine further 'regional sponsors.'
