Here are the latest Arsenal evening headlines for Sunday, August 2.
Arsenal fans noticed what Ceballos did after Aubameyang’s second goal
If Dani Ceballos’ final act as an Arsenal player was Saturday’s FA Cup final victory over Chelsea, it’s fair to say he finished on a high.
The Spaniard has had an interesting season at the Emirates after joining on loan from Real Madrid last summer. He struggled for form under Unai Emery but has been a revelation during the Mikel Arteta era.
The culmination of that form saw him help Arsenal lift the 14th FA Cup in their history on Saturday.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the hero on the day, but during the celebration for his second goal, it was Ceballos that caught some Arsenal fans attention. The midfielder opted to lie down on the Wembley grass and smash his clenched fists into the ground.
That show of passion understandably went down well with Gunners fans.
Emi Martinez’s emotional journey peaks with FA Cup success
One of the standout stories from Arsenal’s FA Cup win on Saturday was Emiliano Martinez.
The goalkeeper joined Arsenal a decade ago and was forced to be patient for his opportunity with the first-team.
Now, Art De Roche has profiled the Argentinian stopper and his emotional rise through the club, including the difficult struggles he has faced during his decade in North London.

Arteta contacts Rakitic over transfer
Mikel Arteta has held discussions with Ivan Rakitic about a transfer from Barcelona to Arsenal, according to the Daily Star.

Rakitic, 32, joined the Spanish giants from Sevilla in 2014 and has won four league titles and a Champions League crown with the club.
Unfortunately, despite being a big influence at the club his playing time in La Liga has dropped somewhat this season and it has seen speculation surface about his future at the club.
The report states that Arsenal are in the market for ‘bargain deals’ due to their restricted transfer budget, and Arteta is interested in bringing the former FC Basel and Schalke midfielder to North London.
