Arsenal evening headlines as Saul makes announcement, Gunners interested in €50m Partey deal

Here are the Arsenal evening headlines on Wednesday, June 3.

Gunners the “most interested” club in Partey

Arsenal are the club "most interested" in signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The report states that Atleti have identified RCD Mallorca midfielder Iddrisu Baba as an ideal replacement for the Ghana star.

Partey is said to have a €50m buyout clause in his current deal at the Wanda Metropolitano, and the report claims Atletico’s asking price is “accessible” to the Gunners.

The Spanish publication also claims Arsenal are the “most interested” club in signing the 26-year-old.

Arsenal cool interest in Fraser - report

Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser will be available on a free transfer once the season is over, but Arsenal have cooled their interest, according to the Athletic.

The Gunners and north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have both been heavily linked with a move for the Scot, as his deal at the Cherries expires at the end of the month.

However, both clubs reportedly do not see Fraser as a priority signing and are also looking elsewhere for alternatives.

The report also claims the Gunners were looking at signing the Scottish international last summer but opted out after concerns over his “introverted personality”.

Saul announces 'new team'

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has announced his 'new team' after teasing fans over the last few days.

Niguez has been linked with a host of Premier League sides, including Arsenal, but his announcement was not quite what people were expecting.

The Atletico midfielder tweeted: “THERE IS A NEW TEAM IN THE CITY @clubcostacity”, with a link to the website.

Saul revealed him and his brother Aarón have launched a new football team, called Costa City club, which will be based in Elche.

The new club will bring together over 30 teams and over 500 players between 4 and 18-years-old.
