Arsenal evening headlines as Sanllehi plots crucial deal and PSG's stance on Aubameyang transfer

Here are the latest Arsenal headlines for Monday, June 1.

Mikel Arteta set for a boost as Raul Sanllehi plots crucial deal

The future of David Luiz is up in the air as the Brazilian approaches the end of his Arsenal contract.

The cost of renewing his deal is likely to be expensive, with the player said to be on £10million a season at the Emirates.

While there were reports that the club paid £6million in agent fees, football.london understood this not to be true, and now James Benge has looked at how the Brazilian and Arsenal could seek to make the best of a bad situation.

Arsenal offer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang contract extension

Arsenal have offered Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fresh terms in a bid to fend off interest from Paris Saint Germain, writes L’Equipe.

Aubameyang, 30, is nearing the final year of his Arsenal contract and has attracted interest from PSG and Real Madrid.

The club are said to be keen to tie-down the former Borussia Dortmund striker, but according to le10sport, the French giants feel a fee between £36million and £45m could tempt Arsenal to sell.

Arsenal not giving up on Lille defender

Arsenal have maintained their interest in Lille’s Gabriel Magalhaes as they attempt to broker a deal for the defender.

The 22-year-old has been linked with moves to Everton and Arsenal in recent weeks, with the Toffees unable to reach an agreement. It was thought the Gunners had reached a similar impasse, but according to the Sun via French outlet Le10Sport, Arsenal have not dropped their interest in the defender.

The report claims Everton had reached an advanced stage of negotiations but that Arsenal view him as a potential successor to David Luiz.

The French club are believed to be interested in selling, with Le10Sport claiming Lille will need to sell the likes of Gabriel, Victor Osimhen and Boubakary Soumare to balance their books.
