New Aubameyang deal 'close'
The Gunners are finally on the verge of locking star man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang into a new contract following protracted negotiations.
Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth says Aubameyang is close to agreeing a new deal, calling it a case of ‘when and not if.’
He also suggests an announcement is expected soon and that their captain and top scorer will commit his future to the club for another three years.

Colombia playmaker James Rodriguez has shed light on his disappointing spell at Bayern Munich and it turns out he has been – quite literally - left out in the cold, which may also scupper any move to London.
Since joining the Spanish giants in 2014, he has struggled to establish himself in the capital, and has spent two of those six years on loan at Bayern Munich. And while the attacking midfielder has been linked with Arsenal in recent weeks, it looks as though England’s climate may stand in the way of a move given Rodriguez’s recent comments on life in Munich.
"The Germans; first the cold,” said Rodriguez in an interview with Comutricolor. “Then they are very cold people too, although I received a spectacular treatment, it is a club that loved me a lot too, living is not easy, it is cold with -20c (degrees), he explained.
"There were days when that I would go to work at 9 o'clock, I would start the car and when the temperature was at - 28c. And I say: - What am I doing here? What am I doing here with - 28c? Munich is a city with a high quality of life. But I couldn't be comfortable."
Arsenal target’s dad drops instagram hint
Arsenal target Gabriel Maghalhaes’ father has dropped a massive hint on social media that the Lille centre-back could be on the verge of joining Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta is desperate to strengthen his backline ahead of the new campaign, and is in talks to sign the 22-year-old defender.
The AFTV Instagram account posted a mocked up picture of the defender wearing the new Arsenal shirt with a caption confirming the centre-back was set to join the club.
And eagle-eyed readers noticed that Maghalhaes’ father ‘liked’ the post, all but sealing the deal as far as the fanbase are concerned.
