Arsenal evening headlines as Martin Odegaard transfer decision due and Unai Emery proved right

Here are your Arsenal evening headlines for Tuesday, March 16.

Arteta decision on Odegaard

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will make a decision on Martin Odegaard's future at the end of the season, but the early signs are positive and it remains likely that the manager will look to extend the Real Madrid midfielder's stay at Emirates Stadium.

football.london also understands that Arteta has so far been impressed with Odegaard's application in training and ease in which he's settled into life at the club.

Odegaard has struck up friendships with many of his team-mates, including Kieran Tierney who assisted the Norwegian as he scored the equaliser in Sunday's north London derby win over Tottenham.

Unai Emery proved right on Saka

The latest stats show just how influential Bukayo Saka is in the Premier League.

He's the highest ranked teenager at Arsenal for shots, chances created, touches in the opposition box, successful dribbles and duels won.

Whilst in the Premier League he ranks first for all of the above as well as goals.

And Unai Emery noticed him sticking out from the crowd quicker than most

Nicolas Pepe's role in potential deal

Arsenal reportedly have an advantage in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt star Evan N'Dicka.

The centre-back has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Gunners apparently one of the interested clubs, along with Southampton and Tottenham in the Premier League.

N'Dicka currently has a contract until 2023, which means the club will be under no real pressure to sell this summer. The 21-year-old is said to currently be worth around €22.5million (£19.3million). However, the Frankfurter Neue Presse state that his value is only rising, and anyone hoping to seal a transfer will have to "dig deep".

However, the Gunners are said to have an advantage over other teams chasing the French youngster's signature.

Arsenal apparently have good connections with the defender's agent Michael N'Cho Ibou after he played a key role in brokering the deal that took Nicolas Pepe to the Emirates Stadium in 2019.
