Arsenal evening headlines as Kolasinac expected to lead clear-out and Henry's verdict on Edouard

Here are the Arsenal evening headlines on Thursday, May 21.

Henry reveals how Arsenal target is viewed in France

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has backed Odsonne Edouard to go “right to the top”.

The Celtic forward has impressed in Scotland and has been linked with a move to the Emirates in the summer.

And Henry, according to former Rangers manager Ally McCoist, is an admirer of Edouard, who has scored 27 goals in 45 appearances this season.

“I spoke to Thierry Henry at the Liverpool vs Leicester City game and he really rates Edouard,” McCoist told talkSPORT - via HITC - earlier this year.

“He was saying in France in particular [Edouard is admired] and he personally really, really thinks he's got a chance of going right to the top.”

Aubameyang to take to the F1 track

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang is set to take part in the F1 Virtual Grand Prix in Monaco on Sunday.

The Arsenal striker will follow in the footsteps of several other high-profile sporting stars, including Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero, golfer Ian Poulter, cricketer Ben Stokes, Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo and cyclist Sir Chris Hoy.

Aubameyang will have professional F1 driver Lando Norris as his teammate, and will compete with Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is driving for Alfa Romeo.

“You'd better be good, you'd better be fast,” Norris joked to Aubameyang in a video posted by McLaren on Twitter.

“It's a bit hard but I try to train every day,” Aubameyang said. “Some turns are really, really hard.”

Gunners looking to cash in

Arsenal intend to offload several squad players in the summer as they look to free up funds for new additions.

The Gunners, like most clubs in the Premier League, have taken a financial hit following the postponement of football.

The absence of any money coming in from matchdays will likely mean a smaller budget to work with.

And that is why Arsenal are expected to sell any players on the periphery of the first team. Sead Kolasinac is one of those, with manager Mikel Arteta set to prioritise the development of both Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka at left-back.
