Here are the Arsenal evening headlines for Sunday, June 21.
Pablo Mari’s future confirmed
Pablo Mari is moving towards a permanent transfer to Arsenal with Flamengo confirming a deal is close.
Mari, 26, joined Arsenal on loan in January and featured three times for Mikel Arteta before suffering an injury against Manchester City. He is due to miss the rest of the current campaign, but his Arsenal career looks like being extended after Flamengo’s vice-president Marco Braz confirmed a deal was close.
"The sale of Pablo Mari to Arsenal is guaranteed," he said. "We are very sorry about what happened to the athlete, but Arsenal will execute the purchase."
The club later released a statement, confirming the news: "Sealed deal! After loan, Arsenal completes purchase of Pablo Mari, of Flamengo."

Mikel Arteta's touchline message to ensure Arsenal stick to his vision of progress
Arsenal’s meeting with Brighton was another frustrating chapter in the club’s history. Seemingly on course to a win, they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, with Neal Maupay’s match-winning strike adding insult to injury.
Finding positives from such a situation can be difficult, but not impossible. Art De Roche had a look at Mikel Arteta’s touchline shouts and what encouraged him during the game against the Seagulls.

Guendouzi may be set for punishment after Maupay fracas
It was one of the defining images of the game against Brighton -- Matteo Guendouzi with his hand around the neck of Neal Maupay.
Arsenal lost Bernd Leno to injury in the first half when his knee buckled following a challenge from Maupay.
The fact Maupay went on to score the winner only compounded Arsenal’s misery, and it was all too much for Guendouzi who clashed with Maupay after the whistle.
Now the Daily Star believes he could be set for retrospective punishment after escaping a card at the Amex stadium.
