Arteta ‘very happy’ with club’s transfer market approach amid Aouar and Partey speculation

The Gunners continue to be linked with a move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and are expected to make another bid having seen their first offer - worth £36.4million with a further £9.1million in add-ons - rejected.

Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey is also believed to be a target, and Arteta has suggested there could be more additions before the close of the transfer window on Monday.

“I am very happy because the way we are acting around the market and the squad, the link between myself, Edu and the board is really good,” he said.

“We are trying our maximum, full support from the owners.

“With what we have, believe me, we will try our best.”
