Arsenal evening headlines as deadline day deals confirmed and Arteta handed Aubameyang boost

Here are your Arsenal evening headlines for Monday, February 1st.

Deadline day departures

Arsenal have been active on transfer deadline day, with at least two departures set to be announced that trim Mikel Arteta's bloated squad further.

Firstly, Shkodran Mustafi will move to Schalke after agreeing to terminate his contract and will join the Bundesliga side as a free agent - a move will which allow Ozan Kabak to join Liverpool from the Bundesliga side.

Another departure is set to occur for Joe Willock, who will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Newcastle United.

Aubameyang boost

In a massive boost for Arsenal and Arteta ahead of Tuesday evening's game against Wolves, captain Pierre-Emerick Auibameyang is back in full training.

The 31-year-old has been dealing with a family issue recently which has seen him miss both games against Southampton as well as the goalless draw with Manchester United last time out.

It remains to be seen if Aubameyang earns an immediate recall for the Wolves trip, but he looked in good spirits in training earlier in the day.

Nuno issues Arsenal verdict

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has issued his verdict on Arsenal ahead of tomorrow's Premier League clash between the two sides.

While the Gunners are in a decent run of form, Wolves are in a woeful run of form and are eight matches without a win in the Premier League.

They will be in for a tough test against Arsenal and Nuno has spoken about the Gunners' ranks ahead of the clash.

“It’s a good side and a good squad, with talented players. Like all the teams in this league, everyone has faced problems and tough situations and Arsenal have dealt with them really good."
