Arsenal evening headlines as Coutinho agent makes Gunners revelation as Willian linked with move

Here are your Arsenal evening headlines for Friday, April 10.

Coutinho agent rumours revealed

Philippe Coutinho’s agent has revealed that he is a lifelong Arsenal fan, after being pictured at the Emirates Stadium.

Kia Joorabchian represents both Coutinho and fellow Brazilian Willian, with both players likely to move away from their respective clubs this summer.

Arsenal have been linked for a move for Coutinho in the transfer window ahead of the window opening but his agent has dismissed any direct contact with the club.

Coutinho’s agent was pictured at the Emirates Stadium during a 1-0 win over West Ham last month which led to significant links to a move. However, Joorabchian revealed that his presence at the game had no bearing on a potential deal between Coutinho and Arsenal.

Will Arsenal overhaul their defence?

"The fact I'm an Arsenal supporter is not a secret," Joorabchian told Sky Sports News .

"I don't have any preference where the players go. I don't try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility."

Ceballos replacement options

Mikel Arteta will be keen to finally find the key player that can fill the void of Santi Cazorla this summer.

Dan Ceballos’ arrival on loan at the beginning of this season seemed to have finally plugged that hole but his struggles with injury have prevented that. Further reports suggesting that Ceballos would prefer a move back to Spain increases the likelihood of Arteta looking into the transfer market.

As a result, the Arsenal boss could have a wide range of players on his shortlist from Emiliano Buendia and Carlos Soler to Jesse Lingard and James Maddison.

Willian linked with Arsenal

Joorabchian looks set to be a major link between Arsenal and his clients this summer, with Chelsea winger Willian also said to be looking for pastures new this summer.

The Gunners are one of several clubs reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian international and the 31-year-old will be available on a free during the next transfer window.

The Brazilian’s agent stated that “everything” is a possibility in football and refused to rule out a move to Arsenal for the Chelsea winger.

For Arsenal, the fact that Joorabchian is a life-long Arsenal fan could be a major boost in their aim to sign Willian this summer.
