Arsenal Europa League squad confirmed: Denis Suarez included as Konstantinos Mavropanos is left out

Arsenal have added new signing Denis Suarez to their final squad list for the Europa League knockout rounds.

The 25-year-old arrived on transfer deadline day on loan from Barcelona until the end of the season.

Suarez made his Premier League debut as a substitute in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at the weekend and has been included in the Gunners' 24-man squad in time for their last-32 clash against BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

The Spaniard made two substitute appearances for Barcelona in the Champions League earlier this season.

However, new Uefa rules state players who move in the January transfer window can participate for their new club in the knockout stages.

However, Unai Emery has been forced into leaving Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos out of his final squad.

The 21-year-old doesn't qualify as a homegrown player and can't make the 'B-list' either as he doesn't meet certain Uefa Requirements.

With Arsenal only naming seven homegrown players in their squad, and Mavropanos ineligible, they have been forced to reduce the size of their roster to 24.

That leaves Laurent Koscielny as the only fit centre-back in the squad after Shkodran Mustafi picked up an injury, meaning Emery could be forced to deploy a makeshift centre-back against BATE.
