Arsenal have equalled their own 15-year-old record after getting thumped 4-1 by Manchester City.
The victory means City are now in pole position to retain their Premier League title, with Pep Guardiola's side cutting Arsenal's lead at the top of the table to just two points while still having two games in hand.
And in the process of losing to City, Arsenal became the first side to fail to win four consecutive Premier League games while still first since they did so back in March 2008. Speaking after the game, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta admitted his side "struggled to cope" with City's prowess.
"[Before the game] I saw the team really at it, and really confident that they were going to do something," he insisted. "But the way we started, we were on the back foot straight away and after that, we struggled to cope.
"We did much better in the second half in many periods but at that point, it's too late. There were certain moments when we had the possibility [to impose ourselves], but we kept giving the ball away very easily and couldn't build any momentum.
"That's the thing, that wasn't us and we have to look in the mirror and move on." Despite the huge loss, Arteta also insisted the title race is not over, adding: "The stats at the start of the season said we would be sixth or seventh.

"There are still five games to go and I have been in this country a long time and I know how it shifts. I do not know what will be required. First we have to lift the players because it is a difficult one to swallow."
Guardiola, meanwhile, is feeling confident with City having seven league games left to play this season. "They are top of the league, the reality is that we are two points behind but we have two games in hand," he said.
"I think the next three games will be really important but the most important thing is the destiny is in our hands. If Arsenal win, it is in theirs. If we win, it depends on us. Until today I would prefer the position of Arsenal. Now, it is in our hands."
