Arsenal drop accidental Eddie Nketiah transfer hint after recall from Leeds United

Arsenal's official website appears to have accidentally confirmed Eddie Nketiah's next destination after his Leeds United loan spell ended earlier this month.

Nketiah made 17 appearances for Leeds this season under Marcelo Bielsa but the majority were off the bench as he struggled for starts.

This led to Arsenal recalling the 20-year-old striker to ensure he sees more game-time moving forward.

There was no intention from the Gunners to utilise the forward this season and they look set to officially announce his next move shortly.

Several clubs have been linked with a loan move for the remainder of the 2019/20 season but now Arsenal appear to have prematurely confirmed his destination.

On his player profile, an image of Nketiah was accompanied by the message 'on loan' - posted above the badge of Bristol City, who narrowly missed out on his services in the summer. However, it has now been changed back to Leeds.

The Robins were favourites to secure Nketiah's services this month given their historic links but a number of other Championship sides had expressed an interest.
