Arsenal dealt blow as Ryan Fraser says he is 'likely' to stay at Bournemouth

Ryan Fraser has admitted he is likely to stay at Bournemouth next season despite being linked with a summer switch to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old winger has been at Bournemouth since 2013, but will be out of contract next year.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe admitted in April he had no idea whether Fraser would remain at the Vitality Stadium next season, saying: "He is an outstanding talent but it is a two-way prospect to sign a contract, so let's wait and see."

The Scottish winger followed up Howe's admission by saying that he, too, remained in the dark about his future.

But in an update to the comments he made earlier this week following Scotland's loss to Belgium, Fraser has now said it is likely he will stay at Bournemouth for the upcoming Premier League campaign.

"The likelihood is I will be at Bournemouth for another year," the winger, who enjoyed a superb 2018-19 campaign with Howe's side, said.

"And what will happen, will happen. That is all I can really say about it.

"No one has really spoken to me about it."
