Paul Onuachu has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Genk striker has been among the goals this season, netting 29 times in just 33 Jupiler Pro League appearances and there is talk of him moving on at the end of the season.
During an interview with Sporza, Onuachu refused to go into detail in regards to his future, but did reveal that the Emirates Stadium would be his ‘dream destination’.
"I really like Arsenal," he said, as per Sport Witness. "(Emmanuel) Adebayor is one of the players I have admired the most.
"I was a really big fan of him and (Nwankwo) Kanu. I really love watching Arsenal."
Onuachu's current deal expires in 2024 and Genk sporting director Dimitri De Conde has already admitted the summer window may be the right time for the striker to look for a new challenge.
"I have to be honest: if I had been told that at the start of the season, I would not have believed it," De Conde told La Derniere Heure. "He scores, he progresses, he has stability.
"But just thinking about his possible departure, it generates stress.
"As a sporting director, I want to see him stay. That said, it may be the moment for him to leave. It is a complex issue.
"Everything will depend on the market. Maybe we’ll find a solution with him, an offer he’ll accept? But, if there is a possibility for him to stay, I will do anything to seize it."
If Arsenal are interested in Onuachu then the Nigeria international could be a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.
The Frenchman is approaching the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and whilst a summer exit would make sense for all parties, football.london understands a concrete decision will be made at the end of the season.
"I think he's been in really good form for months now. He's sustaining that level. He's scoring goals and providing the team with something different as well," said Mikel Arteta at a press conference earlier in the month.
"His work rate has been phenomenal and that's what we want. We need those types of players hitting the best what we level and we want to have the chance to do that.
"Over the course of the season we've been missing goals and creativity in the final third and we need those players to step in and make the difference for the team."
