Real Madrid midfielder Isco has once again been linked with a move to the Premier League as he enters the final months of his contract with Real Madrid, amid rumours he could be swayed with a move to Arsenal.
The 29-year-old, whose current Madrid deal expires next summer, could be a potential target for Mikel Arteta, with rumours already beginning to gather momentum as Sevilla also look to swoop, too according to La Razon. Isco has also been heavily linked with Spurs in the past.
Well known journalist Fabrizio Romano has spoken out on his podcast 'Here We Go' and has provided some interesting details of the potential move, as he indicates PSG forward Kylian Mbappe still remains Los Blancos' key target.
''Real Madrid are still working on Kylian Mbappe and they are still working on new contract.
"I want to say that for Gareth Bale, there is no negotiations for a new contract. So he has huge chances to leave as a free agent, and it’s the same for Isco as well.
"No negotiations as of now, so there’s a chance for him to leave as a free agent."
It is no doubt the sheer amount of quality Isco possesses, with four Champions League's and two La Liga successes to boast, the former Malaga playmaker would bring a wealth of experience to North London if the Gunners were to make a move to land his signature.
And with his game time becoming less and less frequent as the years pass by, this could present a new opportunity away from the Bernabeu this summer.
With Martin Odegaard also making the switch earlier this year, perhaps he may look to the Norwegian as an example. Odegaard initially joined on a loan deal before agreeing a permanent switch, signing a four year deal for a reported fee of around £35 million back in August.
