Arsenal could cash in on Joe Willock this summer and Newcastle's approach to midfielder

Joe Willock may be available for a permanent transfer "at the right price" this summer, according to reports.

The Arsenal loanee scored a crucial leveller on Sunday as United secured a precious point in the battle against the drop. But he had to come off the bench as Steve Bruce dropped him for the first time since he joined the club in the January transfer window.

It's understood Newcastle are hopeful of lining up a season-long loan next term if they stay in the Premier League but the Sunday Mirror claims Willock could even be sold in the close season.

Even in a depressed transfer market he would be upwards of £20million - if Arsenal allow him to go out.

The Sunday Mirror writes: "The Gunners are understood to be willing to offload Willock, 21, permanently at the right price.

"And if Willock were to go on loan again, it is likely that Arsenal would prefer his development to continue in the top flight."

Newcastle will have to make a decision on Matty Longstaff in the close season after the midfielder's career has not progressed as hoped this year.

He signed a two year deal in the close season but has featured only sparingly. United did not allow him to go out on loan in January for more first team games but he's not played since January.
