Arsenal confirmed XI vs West Ham: Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe start with Lacazette benched

Gabriel Martinelli is set to make his first Premier League start with Alexandre Lacazette dropping to the bench for Arsenal's trip to West Ham in the Premier League.

Nicolas Pepe also starts his first game under Freddie Ljungberg whilst David Luiz has been dropped. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has spent the last two matches marooned on the right flank, is expected to move to the centre forward position whilst Mesut Ozil has also been restored to his preferred No.10 position.

Ljungberg has made four changes in total with Kieran Tierney and Calum Chambers taking the place of Luiz and Sead Kolasinac in the side.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Bukayo Saka have returned to the squad after missing the 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Ljungberg knows confidence is key to improving Arsenal’s fortunes

Kolasinac has dropped out of the squad entirely. Dani Ceballos remains sidelined as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has made one change from the side who overcame Chelsea last week with Michail Antonio replacing Sebastian Haller at the point of attack.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Bellerin, Chambers, Sokratis, Tierney; Torreira, Xhaka; Pepe, Ozil, Martinelli; Aubameyang
