Arsenal confirmed team news vs Leicester as White starts but Tierney and Odegaard miss out

Ben White has been passed fit to play for Arsenal in their Premier League clash with Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

There had been some doubts over the England international's availability after he was forced off in the Gunners' 2-0 midweek Carabao Cup win over Leeds due to a stomach bug.

Mikel Arteta revealed that White hadn't trained in the week, but after being involved in some later sessions he has been deemed ready to start.

The same is not the case for Kieran Tierney though who misses the third game in a row due to a bruised ankle. He is replaced again by Portugese under-21 international Nuno Tavares.

Martin Odegaard has also been suffering with an injury in recent weeks, however, he has been deemed fit enough for the bench at the King Power.

He is not in the starting line up though as Arteta seeks to stick with the hybrid 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 formation that worked so well against Aston Villa last Friday.

There is no place for Eddie Nketiah in the squad despite his goal against Leeds in the cup in midweek despite Arteta admitting that he would like the England under-21 record goalscorer to commit his long term future to the Gunners.

Aaron Ramsdale continues in goal meanwhile despite an impressive performance by Bernd Leno on Tuesday night.

Arsenal starting XI vs Leicester: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tavares; Partey, Sambi Lokonga; Saka, Lacazette; Smith Rowe; Aubameyang.
