Arsenal confirmed ins and outs during the January transfer window

It was a busy end to the January transfer window for Arsenal.

Although it was nothing like the summer when six new faces arrived, but a number were allowed to leave including the likes of Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey on free transfers, while Alex Iwobi joined Everton and Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined Roma on loan for the campaign.

Given the money spent on Nicolas Pepe, William Saliba and Kieran Tierney, it meant funds were limited for Mikel Arteta in his very first transfer window as Gunners head coach.

Arsenal transfer window verdict

At the beginning of the month there were links to the likes of Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano others, then as January progressed Jerome Boateng, Thomas Lemar and Bruno Guimaraes were tipped for a move to the Emirates Stadium.

But in the end, Arteta focused on bolstering his defensive options with two loan additions.

So who are the new faces for the remainder of the 2019/20 Premier League season? We take a look at Arsenal’s 2020 winter signings.
