Arsenal confirm warm-weather training camp in Dubai during international break

Arsenal are heading to Dubai for warm weather training ahead of the Premier League run in, the club have confirmed.

With the Gunners not involved in the FA Cup and with an international break coming up, following Thursday’s Europa League tie with Rennes, they will not play again until Newcastle visit the Emirates on April 1.

The squad will make the five-day trip during the international break, meaning there will be a limited squad, and during their time will face Al-Nasr Dubai SC in a friendly to official open the newly built Al Maktou Stadium. The game will take place on March 26.

Manager Unai Emery told the club website: “It will be great to get some warm weather training and break up the usual routine as we enter the final stage of the season.

“The facilities in Dubai are fantastic and it will be an honour to be part of the formal opening ceremony for the new stadium.”

Newcastle's visit to north London is the first of Arsenal's eight remaining Premier League games as Emery looks to secure Champions League football in his first season at the helm.
