Arsenal confirm game date and kick-off time for Europa League clash away to Vitoria

Arsenal have confirmed their Europa League away meeting with Portuguese side Vitoria will take place on Wednesday 6 November at an early kick-off time of 3:50pm (GMT).

The match had been switched by Uefa from Thursday's usual slot to Wednesday 6 November due to other matches taking place in close proximity in Portugal.

Vitoria had been in talks with the local authorities to see if their clash could be moved to Thursday.

The Portuguese side are among three teams from the Porto region playing in the Europa League this season - themselves, Braga and Porto.

However, as Vitória were the lowest-ranked team out of the trio in the domestic competition last season they must play on a different day.

Arsenal have now confirmed the Wednesday date.

Broadcasting rules stipulate that Europa League games cannot clash with Champions League matches - with early games kicking off at 5.55pm
