Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham set to vote on training plans ahead of Project Restart

Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and their Premier League rivals are expected to approve plans to return to group training today.

Top-flight clubs will meet later on today to discuss the next stage of Project Restart and a vote is expected to take place on whether or not to return to group training.

The return to group sessions would be staggered if approved with teams initially taking to the grass in groups of five.

There would also be strict measures in place like no spitting, and the players would have to arrive already wearing the appropriate kit.

Who's played the most Premier League minutes?

To move into this next phase, at least 14 of the 20 Premier League clubs would have to approve the plans.

And according to The Times, the vote is expected to pass, allowing the Premier League to take the next steps ahead of a target resumption date of June 19.

Clubs have already started testing players for COVID-19 with players now set to be tested twice a week.

The Premier League are paying around £4million for tests, with as many as 1,600 tests taking place each week.

Players will not be allowed to return to training without being tested, but they do have the option of opting out if they feel they are at risk, or putting family members at risk by training.
