Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd fans rage at Mohamed Salah's goal after VAR decision for Tottenham

The decision to award Mohamed Salah's goal against Manchester City has sparked a furious reaction from fans across the country.

Salah scored Liverpool's second of the afternoon against City, getting on the end of a cross from Andrew Robertson.

But a replay appeared to show that the Egpytian may have been marginally offside as the ball was played into the box.

On Saturday, Sheffield United saw a goal ruled out against Tottenham after John Lundstram was adjudged to have been offside by a matter of centimetres - a decision which sparked fury after taking over three minutes to check.

VAR did check Salah's goal against City at the Stockley Park HQ, and the PGMOL released a brief statement that said: "VAR checked for possible offside, and confirmed that the Salah goal was correct."

But viewers of the Liverpool vs Manchester City game were left bemused that no replays were shown after the Egpytian's goal.

And given the length of time it took to rule out David McGoldrick's goal at Spurs, the speed and decisiveness of the Salah decision also left viewers confused.

Here's how some supporters reacted on Twitter.
