Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been shortlisted for the African Player of the Year award.
The 30-year-old striker faces strong competition, with Premier League rivals Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane among the nominees.
Salah has won the award the last two years in a row, and if he wins again this year will join AC Milan legend George Weah and former Marseille star Abedi Pele in winning it three times. Yaya Toure and Samuel Eto'o have both won the award four times.
Salah, Mane and Aubameyang have completed the top three in the last two seasons, and are among 30 nominees for this year's award.
Also on the list is Aubameyang's Arsenal teammate Nicolas Pepe. The Ivory Coast star had a strong start to 2019 with his Lille performances leading to his club-record move to north London.
Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, who was strongly linked with a move to the Gunners in the summer before Pepe's transfer, is also on the list.
Also among the nominees are Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez, who won the award in 2016 after his Premier League title-winning campaign with Leicester City.
Andre Onana and Hakim Ziyech of Ajax are on the list, as well as Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.
