Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gives update amid ongoing rumours on his future

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has given an update on his feelings at the Emirates Stadium amid fears he could leave the club.

The Gunners star will have just one year remaining on his contract at the end of the current season, and he continues to be linked to some of Europe's top teams.

The 30-year-old is reportedly being targeted by Barcelona and Inter Milan in the summer, with both sides aware that they could get a top class attacker for a lower price due to his contract status.

However, the striker insists that he is happy in North London, and says that he has been a keen follower of the Gunners for some time.

"I try to always be ready, whatever happens. I am a guy who tries to be always ready," he told the Premier League.

"I love the fans here and when I was younger I used to watch Arsenal because they had always great players, and yeah they won trophies as well.

"So I think it's really a pleasure to be here, I'm really happy. I think that's the feeling."

Aubameyang is the Premier League's joint-top scorer this season with Leicester striker Jamie Vardy. Both attackers have scored 17 Premier League goals, with Vardy adding four assists to Aubameyang's one.

They are trailed in the table by Mohamed Salah and Sergio Aguero, both of whom are on 16 goals.
