Arsenal boss Unai Emery pumps breaks on Dani Ceballos rumours: 'Too soon' to talk about permanent transfer

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery says it is too soon to talk about a permanent move for midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The Spaniard is currently on loan at the Gunners from Real Madrid and has impressed so far during his time in north London.

Ceballos’ strong start has led to reports in Spain claiming Arsenal are already prepared to make his loan move permanent by parting with around £30million.

However, when the idea of that was put to Emery on Wednesday, he replied: “I think it is very soon to say that.

“Ceballos is doing great things, he is playing regularly. Of course I know he has a lot of potential and I think this is just the beginning.

“Always all the players need time to adapt. He is in that process and I really want to accelerate it.

“We are trying to use that energy and enthusiasm in the way we want to play. We had some good games, sometimes it is not easy for him, but I think that’s normal.

“But I think it is too soon to say if we want to incorporate him in different conditions.

“We are only in October, there is still a long way to take that process. The ultimate goal for me with Ceballos is if he can bring us all his potential.

“If he can help us to achieve all our goals as a team with more positive performances, we are more than happy to count on him.”
