Arsenal boss Unai Emery provides injury update on Aaron Ramsey, Laurent Koscielny & Granit Xhaka

Unai Emery has offered a strong indication that both Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny will be available to face Everton on Sunday, though it is not yet clear whether Granit Xhaka will be available.

Koscielny and Xhaka had been left out of the squad entirely for Monday's 2-0 win over Newcastle United, suffering a bruised foot and tight groin respectively.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had also been a selection doubt with a temperature, though he would eventually manage 30 minutes and provide an assist for Alexandre Lacazette, whilst the impressive Aaron Ramsey was forced off in the 67th minute.

Though several of the players brought in for their injured colleagues impressed Ramsey and Koscielny are likely to play a crucial role if Arsenal are to hold on to third place, which their win over Newcastle afforded them.

However Emery is optimistic that his side can cope with any shortfall in numbers when they travel to Goodison Park.

"We started Friday with not good news with Xhaka, he has a small injury and could not play today," Emery told football.london.

"Aubameyang has a temperature for two days and is a doubt, he came with us and made a good impact and felt good in 30 minutes.

"Today Koscielny came with us in the squad but with some pain. He said to us he was not ready to play the match.

"There was a good response from other players because we have players who work hard, who decided to play and help us.

"We are going to play a lot of matches - next Sunday, after two very hard matches against Napoli - we need players, to give them some chances, different minutes, systems and tactical ideas each match.

Why Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Granit Xhaka and Laurent Koscielny missed Arsenal XI vs Newcastle

"We need everybody."

Emery confirmed that Ramsey had only suffered cramp.

The Arsenal manager will be without long-term absentees Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding (both knee) and Danny Welbeck (ankle) for the trip to Merseyside, whilst Lucas Torreira will be serving the last of a three match suspension he received for a straight red card against Tottenham in last month's north London derby.
